The Double-MOT from Inflection is a self-contained ultra-high vacuum system developed for the simple production of cold matter. The system can be used for a variety of projects. From basic research in quantum physics to the development of sensors and new technologies based on cold atoms.
The Double-MOT uses two chambers, insulated by a silicon pinhole disk. The lower chamber is used to achieve a high atomic number and the upper chamber to maintain an ultra-high vacuum. A rail system enables the easy integration of Inflections magnetic accessories. The Double-MOT is delivered under vacuum and is ready for installation in a suitable device, such as the Inflection Physics Station or Physics Platform.
