The Silicon carbide optics from Entegris set new standards in high-precision optics. Developed using the innovative SUPERSiC® material, they combine exceptional mechanical and thermal properties that far exceed the performance of conventional materials such as beryllium, aluminum, or glass. SUPERSiC® is a specially processed silicon carbide (SiC) developed by Entegris and characterized by high stiffness, strength, and excellent thermal conductivity – even under extreme conditions.

The material demonstrates its stability, particularly in cryogenic environments such as those found in space travel or high-performance measurement technologies. At the same time, the absence of beryllium eliminates the health risks that can occur with many conventional high-performance optics.
