Msolv – Laser and inkjet process systems for advanced electronics and photovoltaics
Msolv develops high-precision Laser and inkjet processing systems for research, process development and industrial manufacturing. The focus is on demanding applications in Advanced Electronics, Semiconductor Packaging and Photovoltaics, where high structural resolution, precise process control, and reliable scalability are crucial.
The portfolio ranges from compact modular systems for Research and Process Development to automated production systems for large-area substrates and high volumes. Depending on the application, Msolv combines different laser sources, scanners, beam delivery optics, machine vision, inkjet technology, and automated material handling into an application-specific process platform.
A particular strength of Msolv lies in the development of proprietary process technologies such as Scanned Mask Imaging (SMI), VERSA SPOT® and OPTI-SCRIBE™. With this, the company addresses, among other things, high-resolution IC substrates and interposers, via drilling, embedded components, and the precise structuring of modern photovoltaic modules.

Msolv systems are used for a wide variety of additive and subtractive manufacturing processes deployed. This includes laser scribing, drilling, cutting, dicing, and high-resolution patterning, as well as inkjet-based material deposition. Thanks to the modular design of the platforms, the laser source, optics, scanners, sensor technology, and automation can be specifically tailored to the material, process, and production volume.
Soliton – Your Msolv Partner in the DACH Region
Soliton supports customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the selection and configuration of Msolv laser and inkjet processing systems. In doing so, we look not only at the individual system, but at the entire processing workflow – from the material and desired feature size to the laser and optics configuration, as well as process control and automation.
Depending on the application, different Msolv platforms are available: The MSV100 addresses research and process development, which MSV200 especially large-scale photovoltaic processes, while the MSV300 specializes in high-resolution advanced packaging using scanned mask imaging. For production-oriented laser micromachining, there is the MSV500 available MSV700 enables laser and inkjet processes on sensitive materials under a controlled atmosphere.
Together with Msolv, we support companies, research institutes, and development teams in evaluating suitable processes, adapting systems to specific requirements, and scaling developed methods toward industrial manufacturing.
