The company's brand new SurfSpec 4D Technology is an interferometer developed for the automotive and coatings market to measure roughness and waviness on sheet metal, coatings and many other materials. It can be guided by hand and used in demanding everyday production without any problems.
In less than 30 seconds, a meaningful measurement can be carried out with the largest currently available "Field of View" of 16 x16 mm with nanometer accuracy. Coupled to an object, the system is insensitive to vibration. This measuring device also offers the possibility of generating precise measurements directly in production and is therefore independent of the measuring room.
With this system, the control and evaluation of the data is carried out using the 4Sight software for roughness and the extensive Bandify 3D software package, which allows an optical appearance to be evaluated for the first time.
