The Confocal microscope – Time Resolved offers a powerful combination of fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM), fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS), and other time-resolved measurement methods. The Alba v5 system enables highly precise analyses of fluorescence lifetimes and molecular interactions. Users can choose between digital frequency domain analysis or time-resolved single-photon counting (TCSPC).

Thanks to its versatile design, the system is suitable for both biological and materials science applications requiring high sensitivity down to the single-molecule level. Furthermore, the user-friendly Vista Vision software integrates various imaging and analysis systems such as FLIM, FRET, FCS, FCCS, and RICS to enable comprehensive data processing.

Outstanding technical features

The Alba v5 confocal microscope Its technical specifications enable precise and versatile measurements. It supports up to six continuous wave or pulsed single-photon lasers with wavelengths from 405 to 690 nm, covering a wide range of fluorescence applications. Furthermore, both single- and multi-photon excitations can be used, while a computer-controlled optical system ensures maximum flexibility.

Furthermore, galvanometrically controlled mirrors or a piezo-controlled XYZ stage enable high-precision scanning of the sample. Separate confocal pinholes for each emission wavelength also provide precise imaging control. Finally, the system facilitates integration with various microscope types from leading manufacturers (Nikon, Olympus, Zeiss, Leica) for customized research requirements.

Versatile areas of application

Thanks to its advanced features, the Confocal microscope – Time Resolved Applications in numerous research fields. In life sciences, it enables precise investigations of protein-protein interactions, cellular dynamics, and molecular diffusion. Materials scientists also benefit from the ability to analyze the optical properties of new materials at the single-molecule level. Furthermore, the system is used in pharmacology, for example, to elucidate drug interactions and receptor binding. Finally, the combination of FLIM, FCS, and other techniques offers an optimal solution for high-precision, time-resolved fluorescence analyses in numerous disciplines.
