The High-contrast optical shutters from Meadowlark Optics is a vibration-free alternative to mechanical shutters. This advanced liquid crystal shutter is particularly suitable for applications with polarized light. With its nematic liquid crystal configuration The shutter switches between two states: a state that rotates the input polarization by 90° when no voltage is applied, and a state that leaves the polarization unchanged when 8 to 10 volts are applied. This precise switching enables flexible polarization control without mechanical movements.
