The new tactile and mobile roughness measuring device LITEsurf is the simplest model in its series and was created from SM Metrology Systems forty years of experience in the development of such devices.
This small and handy roughness measuring device is ideal for measuring all typical roughness parameters on surfaces. Even complex contact patterns can be measured. The adjustable stylus enables both straight and inclined measurements on surfaces. For example, the roughness along a bore can be measured both towards the device and in the bore along the cylindrical profile.
The very long probe tip can measure the roughness even in hard-to-reach grooves. A variety of standard and customer-specific probe pins enable the application in any field of application.
Thanks to the integrated Bluetooth and USB connection, the tactile roughness measuring device LITEsurf connect quickly and intuitively with smartphones, tablets and PCs. This means that the information can be easily used and shared with the free “Roughness Studio Basic” app. The device enables details to be measured horizontally, vertically and from above and below. The probe can be rotated by 90°, meaning that every area of the workpiece can be measured.
The robust body of the tactile and mobile roughness measuring device made of light metal, combined with a PC/ABS shell, guarantees rigidity and shock resistance. In addition, the sophisticated charging system ensures an autonomy of 10 hours and at least 300 measurements in 50 minutes.
