The vLite-Hi-527 Series from Beamtech Optronics is a family of high-frequency dual-pulse DPSS lasers for demanding Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV)-Applications. The systems were specifically developed for time-resolved flow measurements (TR-PIV) and enable repetition rates of up to 10kHz with simultaneously high pulse stability and excellent beam quality.

By using high-quality Nd:YLF laser crystals in combination with acousto-optic Q-switch technology, the lasers achieve pulse energies of up to 50 mJ at 1 kHz as well as pulse durations as short as 150 ns. This makes the series suitable for both industrial flow analysis and scientific high-speed measurements.

The vLite-Hi-527 series was specifically developed for time-resolved flow analyses, where high frame rates and stable pulse parameters are crucial. The lasers operate with two synchronized laser cavities and produce at a wavelength of 527 nm Short, energy- and time-stable laser pulses for modern high-speed PIV systems.

Unlike classic low-frequency PIV lasers, the series allows continuously adjustable repetition rates between 0.2 and 10 kHz. This also allows for the capture of highly dynamic flow processes with high temporal resolution.

Beamtech uses a high-quality Nd:YLF laser crystal with an acousto-optic Q-switch. The specially designed resonator geometry ensures energy stability of up to 1 % RMS, low power drift, and excellent matching of the two laser cavities. Additionally, a timing jitter of less than 3 ns and a pointing stability of less than 20 urad reproducible measurement results.

To ensure safe operation, the system features numerous built-in safety mechanisms, including light path interlocks, power supply interlocks, flow monitoring, emergency stop, and enclosure monitoring. An optional integrated light arm with light-section optics facilitates integration into existing PIV measurement systems.
