The Sun from Bright Solutions is a particularly compact Q-switched DPSS laser (Diode Pumped Solid State Laser) for industrial and scientific applications with high demands on beam quality, integration capability, and robustness.

The SOL series combines high peak power, high repetition rates, and a fully air-cooled single-unit design in an extremely compact housing. Due to the monolithic resonator design, the systems are ideally suited for OEM integration, industrial micro-machining, and demanding environmental conditions.

Technical description

The SOL lasers are among the most compact Q-switched DPSS lasers in their power class. Depending on the configuration, the systems achieve output powers of 6 W to 40 W at 1064 nm and up to 10 W at 532 nm.

Thanks to the fully integrated single-unit design, all optical and electronic components are combined in a robust, air-cooled housing. External fiber connections or sensitive optical couplings are completely eliminated, significantly simplifying integration.

The permanently aligned monolithic resonator ensures high mechanical stability and low sensitivity to temperature changes or vibrations. This makes the systems particularly suitable for industrial OEM applications and mobile platforms.

The combination of high peak power and excellent beam quality enables precise material processing even at high process speeds.

Thanks to their compact design and operation with only 24 V DC, the systems can be easily integrated into existing machines, production lines, or mobile systems.

The series supports repetition rates up to 200 kHz, making it particularly suitable for highly dynamic processes in fine machining and marking.

Benefits of the SOL series

The SOL lasers combine high power, compact design, and industrial robustness in a fully integrated DPSS system.

Particularly noteworthy are:

  • Very compact dimensions
  • Air-cooled operation without external cooling
  • Simple OEM Integration
  • High environmental and vibration stability
  • High beam quality
  • High repetition rates up to 200 kHz
  • Robust monolithic resonator design
  • Low integration effort due to single-unit concept
