The X-Trace revolutionizes multi-elemental chemical analysis by bringing the laboratory directly to the sample. Using Laser-Induced Plasma Spectroscopy (LIBS), this mobile device enables remote and in-situ analysis to be performed. This is possible over distances of more than 20 meters.

Equipped with the latest technology, such as a high-power pulsed laser, an echelle spectrometer and a sensitive EMCCD detector, the X-Trace delivers precise and reliable results. The modular design allows flexible adaptation to specific requirements and easy transport.

The user-friendly control software, which runs on a laptop or tablet, provides a live view of the sample and enables easy operation of the device. Whether it is difficult to access objects or hazardous environments, analyses are possible wherever a direct view of the sample is guaranteed.

The X-Trace is not only a powerful tool for chemical analysis, but also a mobile laboratory that opens up new possibilities for research and industry.

What is LIBS?

LIBS is a modern analysis technique that uses a laser pulse to quickly
Determination of the chemical composition of the sample used. It deals
is an effective combination of laser ablation and emission spectroscopy.

Benefits of LIBS

  • Fast determination of the elemental composition
  • High resolution 2D chemical mapping, visualization of
    surface heterogeneity
  • Depth profiling of multi-layer materials
  • Visibility of light elements
