The Time Domain Spectrometer ChronosBH is a state-of-the-art fluorometer for time-resolved fluorescence analysis with picosecond resolution. It combines ISS technology with Becker & Hickl electronics to enable precise TCSPC (Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting) measurements with laser diodes and LEDs. The system offers exceptional lifetime measurement accuracy from milliseconds down to the picosecond range.

Thanks to its T-format and parallel-beam optics design, the ChronosBH enables fast and highly precise polarization measurements. It also integrates fully automated control for cuvette holders, polarizers, filter wheels, monochromators, and stirrers, significantly improving user-friendliness. Finally, the Vinci Multidimensional Fluorescence Spectroscopy software offers powerful data analysis with numerous pre-built routines for reliable and user-friendly fluorescence measurements.

Technical highlights for maximum measurement precision

The ChronosBH spectrometer It boasts a wide range of technical features that enable highly precise and flexible fluorescence analysis. It offers a temporal resolution of up to 8 ps FWHM/5 ps rms, while the minimum time channel width is only 820 fs. Furthermore, it enables measurement rates of up to 4 MHz and a lifetime measurement range of 10⁻¹¹ to 10⁻² seconds, enabling a wide range of experiments.

Furthermore, the spectrometer supports a flexible light source configuration, including laser diodes (405, 436, 473, 635, 690, 780, and 830 nm), Ti:sapphire lasers, and supercontinuum lasers. The ChronosBH also offers impressive detection capabilities, with a selection of PMTs, MCPs, and APDs, enabling wavelength coverage from 160 to 850 nm. Finally, powerful data visualization allows for both 2D and 3D analyses, including time-resolved spectra, FRET analyses, and phasor plots.

Versatile applications in research and industry

Thanks to its state-of-the-art measuring technology, the ChronosBH Time Domain Spectrometer for numerous scientific and industrial applications. It is used in biophysical research to analyze fluorescence lifetimes and molecular interactions. Chemists also benefit from the ability to investigate FRET processes and reaction mechanisms with the highest precision. Furthermore, the system is used in materials science to analyze the optical properties of nanomaterials and thin films. Finally, it offers pharmaceutical companies a reliable platform for characterizing biomolecules and drug interactions.
