The LEGION AMP from Photosound is a compact preamplifier with a number of 128 channels for integration into third-party analog-to-digital converters. This electronic component is used, for example, in the systems of the company “Verasonics®” for ultrasound and photoacoustics applications. Up to two LEGION AMPs can be installed in a 256-channel Vantage system. Basically, signals are amplified by up to 40 dB while background noise is minimized.

The LEGION AMP can also be adapted to various other systems or specifically to your needs, for example systems with 1024 channels. The design of the preamplifier allows two cards to be positioned next to each other without any problem. In addition, the design is such that 2 x 25mm pre-amplification can be carried out per channel. Spacers on the electronics protect against collisions with other components or cables.
