Onda – Precise ultrasound and hydrophone measurement technology
Onda Corporation develops high-precision measurement systems for the characterization of ultrasonic fields. The portfolio includes various Hydrophone technologies, low-noise preamplifiers and automated scanning systems and thus covers a wide spectrum from point sound pressure measurement to the complete spatial mapping of complex ultrasonic fields.
A special focus is placed on the reliable and traceable measurement of acoustic quantities. Onda offers calibrations of hydrophones over a frequency range of 30 kHz to 60 MHz and works with reference systems traceable to national metrology institutes such as NPL and PTB. The calibration procedures are based, among other things, on IEC 62127.
With different hydrophone designs and measurement systems, solutions can be tailored specifically to requirements regarding frequency range, sensitivity, spatial resolution, and maximum sound pressure level customize. This makes Onda measurement technology suitable for diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound as well as for industrial applications and research.

Wave measuring systems are used in Research, development, quality assurance and regulatory measurements used. Typical applications range from diagnostic ultrasound systems and Doppler probes to HIFU, histotripsy, and therapeutic ultrasound, as well as industrial applications such as non-destructive testing, ultrasonic cleaning, and sonoprocessing.
Soliton – Your exclusive Onda partner in the DACH region
Soliton supports customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in selecting and configuring suitable Onda hydrophones and ultrasonic measurement systems. Depending on the application, factors such as the frequency range, sound pressure, spatial resolution, sensitivity, and the geometry of the ultrasonic field to be examined are crucial.
With capsule, needle, membrane, and fiber-optic hydrophones Onda offers various sensor technologies for a wide range of measurement tasks. While small apertures enable high spatial resolution, specialized hydrophone technologies are available for high sound pressures or particularly broadband measurements.
Matching Preamplifiers and accessory components allow the construction of coordinated measurement chains. For automated spatial field measurements, the AIMS III Hydrophone Scanning System precise positioning technology, water tank, hydrophones and Soniq software into a complete measurement system.
Together with Onda, we support research institutes, development departments, and industrial users in configuring suitable solutions for reproducible and quantitative ultrasonic measurements.
