Meadowlark Optics presents its new Super Achromatic Precision Retarder - now with the widest wavelength coverage of the entire retarder product line. These come standard in two wavelength ranges – 420 to 1100 nm and 800 to 1700 nm – and are available in both quarter and half wave retardations. Custom devices are available for other wavelength ranges and delay parameters. Due to wide wavelength coverage, stock items are not anti-reflective coated, but custom coatings can be offered.

The Super Achromatic Retarders contain carefully aligned birefringent polymer sheets laminated between precision-polished, optically flat N-BK7 windows. Assembling is similar to precision retarders, but optical transmission is slightly lower due to more polymer layers and no anti-reflective coating.

The retarders are accurate to ± λ/50 over the entire wavelength range; we provide retardation measurements at more than 25 wavelengths with an accuracy of ±0.001 waves with any precision super-achromatic retarder.
