Many applications do not require long-term performance monitoring. Therefore, it is sufficient to obtain snapshots of the measured values to check whether the laser power level is OK. It is not necessary to measure the stability of the laser power over a longer period of time. In addition, water is often not available on the laser machines. Therefore, service work is easier if the measuring instrument does not require water cooling.

For such requirements we offer Power Probes from LaserPoint. This laser power measuring probes are independent measuring devices that consist of a thermocouple which is connected to electronics with a display. They measure the temperature dynamics in a fixed time and show the laser power on a simple digital display. This way you can get accurate measurements quickly and easily.

The FIT and CRONOS Series have been ergonomically designed to ensure comfortable and safe operation. Details such as the LCD display and weight compensation have been optimized. This allows you to work comfortably even over longer periods of time. The devices are light and handy, which makes them easier to use on site.

LaserPoint has achieved a real breakthrough with these two series of fully automatic laser power measurement probes. They calculate the laser power through a microprocessor-based measurement of the temperature dynamics. The measurement and recording technology independently determines the time required to perform a measurement. Data acquisition is automatically triggered and stopped by detecting defined threshold values for thermal parameters.

The absorber The Power Probes are characterized by low reflections and high damage thresholds. The high-performance multi-kilowatt CRONOS models in particular have a concave, conical shape. This prevents dangerous reflections back to the operator. This significantly increases safety when working with high-performance lasers.
