The MoleculUSsystem from PhotoSound is an advanced data acquisition unit for ultrasound and photoacoustic applicationsIt simultaneously acquires data from both imaging modes and allows the use of the same probe elements. Thanks to the precise imaging electronics, the system is ideal for demanding research and development projects in the area of biomedical imaging.

Optimized signal path for reliable imaging

The Combined ultrasound and photoacoustic system has a separate analog signal path for photoacoustics (PA) and ultrasound (US). The two modes operate sequentially and support both a US preview mode and continuous on-the-fly multiplexing between the modes.

In PA mode, each channel has its own preamplifier with high input impedance and a fixed gain of 40 dB. In addition, this mode uses an integrated broadband preamplifier with a TR switch that flexibly switches between high voltage, transmit/receive US beamforming and low voltage. This ensures that the system not only ensures optimal signal quality but also high image resolution, which is crucial for precise measurement results.

Compatibility with various ultrasound probes

The MoleculUS system is equipped with a variety of ultrasound probes compatible, including:
Linear probes
Convex probes
Endocavity hand probes

This versatility enables flexible application in differentĀ scientific fields.

Powerful software interface

The MoleculUS system is controlled via a powerful software SDK and an intuitive user interface. The software is based on MATLABĀ® and is available both as a compiled version and in a source code version. The back-end consists of a 64-bit C++ DLL library. This enables the system to efficiently process and analyze data. In addition, the software can be flexibly adapted to specific requirements, which facilitates seamless integration into existing workflows.

The MoleculUS system from PhotoSound is a powerful combined ultrasound and photoacoustic system, which offers precise data acquisition, optimized signal processing and flexible probe compatibility. Thanks to the modern software interface, it is ideal for research, development and medical imaging. In addition, the sophisticated architecture ensures user-friendly operation and high adaptability to different applications.
