Precise CNC vision measurement technology for reproducible measurement results

The AVR Series - Automatic optical inspection systems from Starrett was specially developed for recurring measurement tasks and automated comparison with CAD data. This makes the system ideal for companies that want to integrate reliable, fast and high-precision quality control into their production processes. The AVR Series enables efficient and standardized inspection of complex components, particularly in series production.

In addition, the CNC vision measuring system combines modern camera technology with powerful software. This enables measurements in the micrometer range as well as precise field of view (FOV) measurements. The AVR Series - Automatic optical inspection systems supports the highest requirements for accuracy and repeatability.

Flexible optical solutions for different testing requirements

Depending on the application, interchangeable telecentric lenses or special zoom lenses are available. While telecentric lenses minimize distortions and deliver constant measurement results, zoom lenses allow flexible adaptation to different component sizes.

With a maximum field of view of 24 mm, the systems detect components with measuring ranges of 200 mm, 300 mm or 400 mm - available as AVR 200, AVR 300 and AVR 400. In addition, an optional 0.14X lens with a large 60 mm field of view considerably extends the range of applications. The AVR Series - Automatic Optical Inspection Systems therefore reliably covers both small precision parts and larger workpieces.

Intuitive operation with MetLogix™-M3 software

It is controlled via the tried-and-tested MetLogix™-M3 software. This displays a live video image of the test part in combination with digital measured values and integrated geometry tools. This allows users to keep an eye on all measurement parameters at all times.

The camera image can also be continuously zoomed and scaled. Measurements are conveniently taken directly via the touchscreen by selecting the relevant contour on the screen. This reduces the amount of training required, while at the same time increasing the measurement speed.

The extensive functions include 3-axis measurements as well as 2D geometric elements such as points, lines, angles, rectangles, grooves and free-form contours. In addition, the systems can be equipped with stylus probes, allowing tactile measurements to be added. In this way, the AVR Series combines optical and mechanical measurement technology in one system.

Efficient quality control with the AVR Series - automatic optical inspection systems

Overall, the AVR Series offers a powerful solution for industrial image processing, CNC metrology and automated component inspection. While manual measurement processes are time-consuming and error-prone, this automatic optical inspection system ensures consistent, objective and documentable quality assurance.
