Picosecond laser for precise micro material processing

The picosecond lasers from Advanced Optowave deliver ultra-short pulses in the range of a few picoseconds and thus enable almost thermally neutral material processing. The high peak power and exact beam quality make them ideal for applications where precision and minimal heat exposure are crucial.

Technical properties

These lasers operate in the infrared, green or UV range and offer outputs that can be optimally adapted to industrial or scientific requirements, depending on the model. The combination of a high repetition rate and short pulse duration enables fast processing speeds with maximum detail accuracy.

Advantages of picosecond lasers

Due to the extremely short pulses, the material is removed so quickly that there is no significant heat conduction to adjacent areas. This prevents melting edges and material stresses. The lasers are compact, low-maintenance and designed for continuous operation in production lines.

Areas of application

Picosecond lasers are suitable for micro material processing in the electronics industry, for drilling circuit boards, structuring solar cells and for fine engraving in metals and plastics. In medical technology, they are used for precise cuts in sensitive materials.
