It was specially designed for operation as <strong data-start=\"1006\" data-end=\"1042\">2D+ magneto-optical trap (MOT)<\/strong> develops and enables atomic flows on the scale of <strong data-start=\"1105\" data-end=\"1131\">10\u2079 atoms per second<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1134\" data-end=\"1487\">The CASC serves as a source for downstream cold-atom experiments and can be integrated directly into existing ultra-high vacuum systems via a standardized CF connection. The underlying architecture is also used by Infleqtion in its proven two-chamber systems <strong data-start=\"1413\" data-end=\"1437\">RuBECi and doubleMOT<\/strong> used.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"jfomrv\" data-start=\"1489\" data-end=\"1520\">2D+ MOT for high atom fluxes<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1522\" data-end=\"1752\">The Cold Atom Source Cell is for the construction of a <strong data-start=\"1573\" data-end=\"1584\">2D+ MOT<\/strong> optimized. Laser light and a corresponding magnetic field cool the atoms emerging from the integrated atomic source and form a directed beam of cold atoms.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1754\" data-end=\"2078\">Typically, atomic fluxes are <strong data-start=\"1791\" data-end=\"1811\">1 \u00d7 10\u2079 atoms\/s<\/strong> reached. Depending on the 2D MOT laser parameters used, the longitudinal exit velocity typically lies between <strong data-start=\"1947\" data-end=\"1964\">10 and 20 m\/s<\/strong>. The atomic beam has a typical divergence of about <strong data-start=\"2022\" data-end=\"2039\">4\u00b0 full angle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1qxe37z\" data-start=\"2080\" data-end=\"2120\">integrated differential pumping stage<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2122\" data-end=\"2355\">A key feature of CASC is the integrated <strong data-start=\"2181\" data-end=\"2210\">differential compression stage<\/strong>. A silicon plate with an aperture of <strong data-start=\"2254\" data-end=\"2265\">0.75 mm<\/strong> separates the relatively higher operating pressure of the 2D+ MOT from the downstream UHV experiment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2357\" data-end=\"2637\">This allows an atomic density suitable for a high atomic flux to be generated in the source cell, while significantly lower pressures can be maintained in the connected science region for long storage and coherence times.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"11f9hnp\" data-start=\"2639\" data-end=\"2662\">Rubidium and cesium<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2664\" data-end=\"2790\">The CASC can with up to <strong data-start=\"2689\" data-end=\"2733\">two pre-installed alkali atom sources<\/strong> be equipped. Configurations are available for:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2792\" data-end=\"2912\">\n<li data-section-id=\"vfa8lc\" data-start=\"2792\" data-end=\"2807\">Rubidium (Rb)<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1f4l7gc\" data-start=\"2808\" data-end=\"2821\">Cesium (Cs)<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"hc7ac7\" data-start=\"2822\" data-end=\"2845\">two rubidium sources<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"7wso3v\" data-start=\"2846\" data-end=\"2867\">two cesium sources<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"h2ipfk\" data-start=\"2868\" data-end=\"2912\">combined rubidium-cesium configuration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2914\" data-end=\"3063\">This allows the atom source to be adapted to different cold-atom experiments and research platforms.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"igg8qk\" data-start=\"3065\" data-end=\"3093\">Compact UHV integration<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3095\" data-end=\"3313\">With dimensions of only <strong data-start=\"3119\" data-end=\"3140\">30 \u00d7 30 \u00d7 94.6 mm<\/strong> the CASC has a very compact design. The vacuum connection is made via a standard <strong data-start=\"3231\" data-end=\"3258\">DN16-CF flange (1.33\u2033)<\/strong>; an adapter plate to 2.75\u2033 is also available.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3315\" data-end=\"3567\">The construction is <strong data-start=\"3337\" data-end=\"3370\">without epoxides or glass frits<\/strong> built up and can up to <strong data-start=\"3394\" data-end=\"3404\">225 \u00b0C<\/strong> be baked out. These include in particular the <strong data-start=\"4027\" data-end=\"4054\">2D+ MOT Magnet Assembly<\/strong> as well as the photonic integrated <strong data-start=\"4089\" data-end=\"4098\">Magpies<\/strong>Beam guidance systems.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4123\" data-end=\"4433\">The Picas systems provide the required 2D+ MOT beam geometry from three fiber-coupled laser inputs and, together with the CASC, also achieve atomic fluxes of more than 10\u2079 atoms\/s. This allows for the construction of a largely pre-configured cold atom source.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4435\" data-end=\"4603\"><strong data-start=\"4435\" data-end=\"4603\">Soliton supports you with the configuration of the CASC as well as with the selection of suitable vacuum, magnetic, optical, and cold-atom components for your experimental
